Moon Chickens in Persia

Description

With a blue moon behind them, a large fluffy chick and black rooster are surrounded by ancient Persian symbols including small teapots, roses, pomegranate seeds and stalks of rhubarb. In the lower right is a Persian cat. I love Persian (Iranian) food, especially rhubarb that is added to savory stews called khoresh. Growing up we always grew and enjoyed the dark pink stalks that are a vegetable mainly used as a fruit that is native to Asia. Just as life can sour, we need to remember it can also be sweet like rhubarb and strawberry pie. In Persia the main flavor profile combines sweet and sour just as we need to sweeten life’s blows with love and patience.
