Description
Here a toad sporting a silk top hat is depicted with a palm civet, swimming bird in flippers and a crow in a hat surrounded by songbirds, planets, a saffron crocus flower and chrysalis with an emerging monarch butterfly. Behind the crow is a circle with Japanese cherry blossoms I cut from a card I had sent to my grandmother when I was living in Tokyo that my uncle saved and recently gave back to me. It was like a time capsule bringing me back to Japan the last week of April when parks turn into soft seas of pink with clouds of sakura trees in full bloom.
