Description
The Irrawaddy is the main and longest river in Myanmar (formerly Burma) running 1,350 miles from north to south. I found the image of the woman bathing and then added the river using irregular strips of flowing paper water with the addition of several turtles, a favorite animal of mine (I once had a softshell snapping turtle named Alexander until he got so big I liberated him in a forest preserve pond). The river supports hundreds of species of fish and rare wildlife like the endangered Irrawaddy dolphin, tigers and elephants within its massive basin. Tiny jellyfish dance along the top through the bathing woman’s hair. If we don’t have the support of a river system we need to embrace a flow of people to help support us through life.
