Owl and Pussycat

In my collage I depict the owl and pussy-cat from Edward Lears nonsensical book in a tuk tuk in India with okra sprouting from the front and melons like wings and a watermelon behind. In the style of the book with a mix of silly invented words I added silly little characters like the Napoleon-like guy made out of scissors, a bird made from a juicer and a tiny Mr. Peanut on a Indian print background scattered with small paisley patterns (they symbolize mangos) and peanuts in the shell. It is meant to be fun with a small fan atop the tiny blue vehicle the cat is driving dangling with a flower garland.

Description

Here the two main characters are in an Indian-style tuk tuk with an okra pod sprouting from the front and watermelon behind surrounded by floating peanuts and bottlecap Mr. Peanut and a bird made from a hand-held juice squeezer on a paisley background pattern. It is meant to be fun with a small fan atop the tiny blue vehicle because it is hot in India. Edward Lear authored the story of the unlikely, undying love between an owl and pussycat using a mix of silly invented words with strict rhythms. The story reminds us that opposites really can find true love in unlikely places like being serenaded in a boat on the sea.
