The central message of Snow White centers on the triumph of kindness and inner beauty over jealousy and vanity. Snow White’s gentle nature and ability to connect with the dwarfs, animals and even the huntsman is her defining power representing true “fairness” not what the mirror reflects that enrages the Evil Queen filled with toxic vanity over who is fairest in the land. My version depicts a snow white dog with long black hair in a winter night landscape gazing up at circles of glittering stars.The apples in the background represent the poison apple the disguised queen gives to Snow White. She is surrounded by seven pups as stand-ins for the dwarfs. Just as the dwarfs represent different human traits  from Happy to Grumpy these pups have individual personalities but all are loyal companions to Snow White (maybe she does not need Prince Florian’s kiss to wake her up).
